Err.. and Indians don't know abou tech?!
Am I missing something.. I work in the software industry, and as far as I can tell, India is educating thousands more software developers than we are in the US, and I have many of them working in my company here to prove that.

I don't know if you're old enough to remember tech support calls in the late 80s and 90s, but believe me, it was even worse... and that was when tech support calls were routed to Ohio or Kansas.

1st and 2nd tier Tech support guys aren't just allowed to ad-lib.. they have to work out of a script that a piece of software dictates. That's how companies maintain 'standards'. That's why you keep getting the same solutions. Blame the companies, not the poor sod giving you tech support!
