To answer your question, I work in the US, and yes, I'm as much of a red-blooded American as any other.

As a matter of fact, I work in the software industry, which is possibly the most affected industry as far as outsourcing is concerned.

Nevertheless, it is a matter of fact that the free markets that we have been preaching to world as a panacea of all economic and political ills, will inevitably sort themselves out, and will always seek the best balance of price and quality that the markets will sustain.

Your company can't very well hire you if its stockholders and the banks don't have faith in it and lend it money, because it's not making the numbers on wall street. And there's no way it's going to do that paying someone $70/hr including benefits when the same job can just as well be done for half the price. It's not personal, it's your 401K, it's your stock portfolio, and it's business.
