I 'm afraid it 's happening here just as well
I 'm not that optimistic when it comes to Europe not following the US's "lead".
Managers here are just as greedy as in the US, and when they can cut costs they will do so.
Lots of jobs have already been moved to lower wage countries such as Poland (still within Europe) and India...
People are left wondering what jobs will eventually still be left for the local people.

First they made people believe it was only the workmen's jobs that were moved to low-wage countries, now it has already come to the IT workers.
Think about it, with current technology (video conferencing, remote control, ...) in IT there is less and less need for people to be on site, so they can do a lot from abroad.

About that language problem, don't be mistaken.
Most people in Europe speak English to a certain degree.

Now they keep appeasing people by saying : "but hey, those really creative jobs will always remain in the US / Europe".
As if people in low-wage countries simply lack a chromosome that prevents them from being smart, creative, etc...

The only limit I can see for now is that at some point in time, the economy in general will pay for it.
After all, if every company keeps outsourcing jobs to low-wage countries, eventually very few people in the US and Europe will still have purchasing power to keep buying their products.
And people from India won't be able to afford the goods...
