All of that power
I used to know a programmer who had an IBM 360 in his garden shed, you know the type the sort that can type 80 words per in hex while patching a VTOC. I always wondered what his electric bill would be like, then I read about this system and speculated if some modern day brain would have one of these in his garden shed. Well of course not he'd need a small power station to provide the 1.5 MegaWatt to bootup and run the only the first segment of the machine.

I've heard people complain about the heat given off from their P4 machines, with one of these IBM systems you could setup district heating for a small town.

Oh someone said what OS, well as it is IBM wouldn't it be BDOS?

The whole point of a super computer is lost as soon as you put an OS on it OS's are so wasteful of resources. I would assume that apart for some very basic IO funtions the application would run at machine level to squeeze every opperation into the application and not waste it on an OS just doodling around.

The thought of that almost makes me want one to play around with...
