I won't touch a blade design if it isn't open and standard
I don't want to get tied into a single vendor with a blade design. It should be simple enough for all the vendors to get together (like IBMs) and come up with an interoperable design.

I'm really looking forward to the PCI express server IO interconnect standard (I think it's also called PCIe cable spec?) .. I'd really like modular units to be able to interconnect at bus speeds no matter what the machine type or build.
