FALLACY
"The cost of managing a 10,000 unit environment will escalate dramatically if any little thing changes. "

If they really cared about that, they wouldn't be using Windows based machines at all. They'd be buying $799 iMacs and popping them on everyone's desks. After all, Windows has the highest TCO of any computing platform in existance.

With a Mac, you would make things such as deployment, manageability, etc a lot easier and reduce your IT staff and time considerably.

It's amazing that with 1 set of CD-ROM's I can install OSX on all Macs that will support it with no additional drivers, and fuss. And there are far fewer things to go wrong....

Which is why CLOSED systems will always be the BEST, MOST RELIABLE SYSTEMS. PERIOD. If your company relies on the data, you typically have a closed system - AS/400, UNIX, SUN, etc.
