AMD chips have better stability, faster processing, lower power consumption, less heat dissipitation, greater flexibility, lower prices (except when Intel lower's their price just to keep AMD out of the market) and easier integration.

Dell has one advantage with Intel and their Intel MB's: forward compatibility. Youo can take an old HDD ghost image and put it on a new HDD in a new system and not much will change in the way of drivers and functionality.

The same would go for AMD's in nVidia chipsets too but Dell has so much invested in Intel parts already.
