Make my HDD faster, less susceptible to vibrations and jars, and cheaper with fewer moving parts --no moving parts, 80GB Flash drives @ 100MB/s sustained data transfer rates-- to keep up with with my AMD Athlon64 4000+ CPU and dual-channel DDR SDRAM 400MHz DIMMs and 8xAGP hardware accelerated OpenGL WUXGA+ with dual GPU's.

Nano technology? We don't need no stinking nanotechnology. We need components that can keep up with our chips. Maybe if you put 64MB of L1 cache plus 128MB of L2 cache on the CPU plus increase HDC cache to 32MB, you may not have to increase the actual drive speed: Just better predictive read/write caching and auto battery backup to ensure no data loss during power failure or OS/apps crashes. (No assumptions on the OS/apps or software vendor(s) of choice).
