Intel's primary weakness is the management..
Intel is headed towards the abyss...

Intel has a major employer-employee relationship problem, (see www.faceintel.com), and can no longer attract the top tech talent.

The top performing/experienced/high paid talent avoids the mistakes of the past.

Where-as Intel thinks they can design cutting edge products using cheap (India, H-1B) labor. As a result, Intel will often encounter the same types of problems over and over again.

Thusly, one should expect more screwups, delays, cancellations, and inferior products from Intel.
