- AMD seems to have the edge right now and Intel is doing what they should be doing. Unless you're an Apple user you probably already realize that Athlons and P4's are the fastest procs available for desktop computing. G5 was slower than the Opteron that was out two months before it. AMD will innovate and Intel will innovate also - not just copy AMD. I just built an Athlon64 and it's the fastest desktop I've seen.
