"Now with satellite radio, you have to pay just to listen, and they want to tell you that you can't record. What a crock! They claim that because satellite radio is CD quality, copy protection is needed"

they also tried to ban tapes recordings, vcr's and dvr's - they will try this for every format that comes out....why? because the want to lock formats to devices, that way they can RE-SELL new formats, instead of NEW music
