Nobody is arguing about MS Windows but overpriced
beyond any limits of common sense Mac and consequences
of it (bad for Mac users).
MS monopoly is 95% of the market.
Apple monopoly is 100% of the niche market (until Apple
holds its monopoly ? Mac Linux is not a competitor).
Thus, Apple abuses Mac users by holding of 100%
monopoly and by sweet lies = Mac users have no choice as
to buy an Apple machine at the highest unreasonable price
(Bill Gates does not have this luxury for now).
Why Mac users have no choice? Because the main reason of
why they are not in MS camp is they do not want to support
MS predatory practice. That?s why many Mac users want to
be cheated by Apple. They cannot believe that even if Apple
is different than MS ? it does not mean that Steve Jobs is
better than Bill Gates. It?s like if Stalin hated Hitler ? it does
not mean that Stalin was good.
Bill Gates abuses its power and Apple abuses its power. The
difference is Bill Gates knows how to abuse its power
properly (the best); Apple does too many mistakes.
Thus, if you want fight against Bill Gates? monopoly ? create
a dissent competition first. Until Apple is monopoly ? Apple
NEVER can shake MS.
Say NO MONOPOLY and Apple will have no choice as to be
turned into a user-friendly company with reasonable prices
and policies.
In my opinion, Mac prices (as well as prices of any system)
should be calculated according to Mac/PC performance.
They need to compare not hardware benchmarks but Mac/
PC performance on real basic applications (most people do
not run hardware benchmarks but basic applications).
For example, if a Word processor on a Dual G5 Mac is twice
slower than on a PC (read Macworld, Dec. 2003, p. 60) ? it
means the Dual G5 Mac must be twice cheaper than the PC
too - around $1,700.
If G4 Mac is triple slower than a PC ? it should be triple
cheaper.
If Apple cannot lower the prices ? port OS X on Intel
platform (existing PCs). It can kill not only Apple monopoly
but MS monopoly too. As the final result ? everybody will
have benefits including Apple (excluding Bill Gates). - Posted by: Vily Clay Posted on: 11/18/03 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
