8 hours by 2010?
Do they know that last year IBM had a 802.11g ThinkPad that could go about 6 hours on one battery? It also had two multybays that allowed two additional batteries that gave nearly 18 hours of freedom.

...And, yes, it ran on an AMD processor with Power NOW! technoogy. Now Intel wants to raise the roof to 8 hours in about 5 years. Who's taking bets that AMD will have a vendor with a 10 hour single battery laptop before then?

Of course it won't be an IBM since the only AMD chip you'll find in an IBM these days are In their servers.
