Real ID Act
And now starting in 2008 the Homeland Security 'dude' will be able to waive all laws to enact the Real ID Act and choose which medium to use for identification. It most likely will start with an RFID driver's license but will most likely end up being an implanted chip once people steal your personal id card and wipe out your bank account because you can't deny that the card represents your approval of every transaction since no one would ever let their card out of their hands. So soon the card will be permanently in their hand!
