I have to believe someone is going to develop a device to overload and short out the unwanted chips in clothing and other merchandise. So then we run ourselves through the thing and voila - the police can't track the kidnappers, noseys can't track us and they will come and implant a new chip in us so we can zap it out again.

I do wonder if the companies will agree to share data or if we will need to get tagged for each tracking entity. OH JOY! I get to carry around a half dozen rfid tags instead of the annoying wallet cards and keychain dongles.

I already trade my shopping "key cards" with friends on a regular basis just to F*** with the bastages. "Hmm, this person never bought marinated herring and kim chi before, maybe its a new fad."

Big Brother IS watching.
