Are you kidding me? They live to sift through data. It's all about the data. We're an information economy, after all. We hardly make products anymore. In fact, it's not about a product any way. It's always about the money.

Which brings me to the second part:

There you have it. Managing for the very short term and personal benefit. American business and enlightened self-interest crapola.
