You are making the same arguments everyone else had made for the last 5 years.

You don't need to spend $3000.00 on a computer every year enjoy PC gaming. I don't know why you keep bringing up these phantom costs.

Super high speed PC's have *always* been a niche market, but that doesn't make PC gaming a niche market.

"Like I said above, PCs may be extremely versatile, but relatively few applications outside of gaming justify spending that kind of money on a comp. Even a 350$ Walmart Wonder comp can easily do things such as MS office or web surfing."

Few applications outside of gaming have EVER justified PC hardware upgrades, yet for the last 15 years, people have been upgrading their PC's to run the lastest games. To think this will stop because of some slight decline (recession anyone?) in PC gaming over the last few years is short sighted.
