Hmmmmm
I had used Linux a couple of times in the past - Red Hat distros if I remember correctly. They did okay, got them running etc. etc. but there was just more out there for Windows at the time.

However what has really turned me off the whole topic of Linux has been the religious orthodoxy that has been created around it - it has for some time now come off as THE ONE TRUE Operating System. I've been thru more than enough religious type wars regarding other topics - and don't care at all to go there any longer.

Maybe enough people will get tired of the extremist nonsense and we can engage in adult conversation regarding the merits and detractions of the various systems.

As for myself - I view the whole mess as I would any other tool - I like the brand\size\shape of the framing hammer I use for certain tasks - but I would never use it for removing PCI boards (welllll - now that I thought about it I do have this old Packard Bell sitting around.....). OS's and the like are no different.
