What in the world are you talking about?
I configure my desktop through a GUI control panel. Have for several years. And I have no idea what you're talking about with sound. If you use either KDE or Gnome (and most people using Linux as their desktop use one or the other) then you've got either aRTs or esd, and many sound drivers don't even need those.

Of course, why am I bothering to explain this to you? You're a troll, you've always been a troll, and as near as I can tell, alas, you will remain a troll.

It's sad, really. I would assume that most adults, in person, would avoid saying patently absurd and ridiculous things in order to incite the verbal equivalent of flame wars. Why do some ostensibly adult individuals decide that on the internet, they have a free pass to act like children?
