OK The BETAMAX ruling
Now this pure speculation as it hasn't gone before judge.
But a contract that violates that ruling may not be valid.
No this opinion only. No ruling has been made and right now in my head a I can probably give a dozen reason for this going one way or the other.
But it is possible that a court could rule the contract void on that specific point. Or it could slap this chip maker for violating the contract.
