This is for opinion.

I think you're trying to change the argument here. Back of focus.

He claimed this violates the betamax descions in law, his opinion. You state that contracts don't need to follow law, you opinion. I show that contracts do need to follow law, fact. Then I show you his opinion which is not shot down by fact and even go as far to say that courts will have to rule on this DVD control problem before it can be fact and no longer in the realm of opinion.

If this isn't what you are arguing then please explain because you intitial post sure points to you saying that contracts are above law.
