Let's start with the . . .
A/C adapters. I don't care whether or not there's a brick involved. After all, if it's in the cord, then it's not in the Laptop's housing, adding weight. What aggravates me is the fact that they stick it down at the plug end. In their world are outlets all single, and have about 2 foot of space around each of them?

Just put it in the middle, where you don't have to worry about whether or not you can plug it in at the nearest power strip.

And as for cell phones, a lot of manufacturers are still using proprietary jacks. Motorola is a primary example. Either they have a HUGE honkin' Plug to go on the phone, or they use (as on my ROKR) a little bitty thing that's easily broken. I'm constantly amazed that they used a mini-usb port on the RAZR!!

I honestly think that Wal-mart is making a profit due to sales of DC and AC replacement power cords . . .
