Broadband leaps forward
Broadband increases of 60% among people under the age of 20 isn't a surprise since these are the people who have very few actual day to day expenses. Teenagers with a part time job can afford to pay $35 per month for broadband service since someone else is probably paying for their housing and meals.

It still amazes me that people continue to pay over $23 per month for AOL dial-up service when ISPs like PeoplePC and NetZero offer this service for $10.95. I guess a lot of people are unfamiliar with how to find information on the Internet. Each of these ISPs has a home page with links to everything that they find on the AOL home page. Changing to a new email address is not as painful as it seems. I use AIM and have a Netscape email address, but I am not an AOL customer. I also have email address at Hotmail, Yahoo and ICQ. All of these are free.
