High-def tvs like to eat high-def content. 50gigs packs a lot more pixels per disk than regular DVD. This doesn't mean the END of regular DVD. You can still buy VHS now. You will just have more choices.

Even though it will have evil copy-protection. It should be re-named we_don't_trust_you-protection, or we_hate_our_paying_customers-protection.

How about this, no copy protection and lower prices. Give us the flexability to do what we want with the content we PAY to use.

That would be the successon I propose.
(I mean the new copy protection will be cracked in short order anyway, only the innocent are being punished)
