No, it's smart shopping.
IMO that shows our consumers are smarter shoppers, expecting value for their money. Much of the new technology being pushed on the market, at the current price points, benefits the producers far more then the consumers.

Of course, we've had a free market economy for much longer then the shoppers of other countries, so naturally our consumers are more tuned into the such tricks.

Kudos to the USA consumers!
