Comment on "True HDTV"...
Interesting thing you stated about a "True HDTV" image...thought I'd chime in...

HDTV -- the, as you put it, "TRUE" HD image is 1020i. Whether its 1020i on a plasma TV or not -- its still "TRUE" HD.

In fact, plasma is inferior and not SUPerior in some ways when compared to "conventional" tubes.

Plasma is a gas. Did you ever have a plasma tv? Do you know how much of a pain in the arse they are and how expensive they are when they break? There reliablility is junk, when compared to non-plasma tv's. Reports have been done on this.

One source is consumer reports.

I have others but not with me today (they are at home -- I am not writing from home).

Anyway...done.

BTW, I agree 100% on the DVD ads and junk...even the amount of time for just the stinking menu to come up due to the fancy animations they have to play, etc...

I sit there and want to scream "OK OK JUST PUT UP THE DAMN MENU ALREADY!!!"

wink
