Isn't that more IBM's problem or worry?

So are you saying Apple can only work on one idea/goal at one time? So while I do think faster CPU's is a good idea..in the mean time while that is being worked on by both IBM and Apple I assume does that mean that iPod/iPod mini/iTunes further development should stop? Xserver and the Xserver OSX stop? Should OSX development in general stop? Should the various software packages that Apple sells stop development until a faster CPU is finished?

Could it be that Apple is working on several projects or multi-tasking? And this project is currently reaching machurity? I remember when Apple first introduced the color iMac back in the day. I heard a lot of these same comments and a lot of laughing. Then the iMac sold like hot cakes (just how fast do hot cakes sell anyway?) and everyone and their mother was tripping over themselves with new PC concepts and color skins and such...seems that happens a lot with Apple. I think I even heard some doubters over the whole iPod/iTunes thing as well. Odd that.
