Hi Voska,

Your "examples" of my examples make it clear that you did not understand me.

Yeah, I have a plasma display and surround sound for watching DVDs down in the basement. I even have a Kurzweil K-2vxs and Novation SN-II computerized keyboards - but there wasn't much point in mentioning them as I was simply providing examples of perfectly good devices which have no Operating System.

Heck, I even have nine computers of varying format in my home network. I've got FreeBSD in my DMZ, Linux on my FPS and DB servers, and both (gasp) OS-X and WinXP on our family's client systems. So what?

Yes, I live here in 2004 too, but I was trying to explain to you that many devices which are very useful simply don't have an OS. Many others do, I don't deny that, but I was speaking to your comment that *everything* had an OS - which is purely wrong.
