Check the CFR's, hospital telemetry has it's own bands to operate within, and, they are far away from the mobile phone bands.

If the telemetry system is legal, there is absolutely zero interference from mobile phones, handheld units, wireless networking, and other frequency controlled devices.

Have you ever noticed that a good number of hospitals have cell towers on top of them? It's a good source of income to the hospital.

Many hospitals have abolished the "no cell" policy because they've found that the interference issue to be an initial over-reaction, and, has been scientifically disproved.

These hospitals will maintain the rule for CCU's/ICU's because patients are easily disturbed by the distruptive conversations, not for interference reasons.
