interference on aircraft
I have been on an aircraft that had been starting up, when a person received an incoming call that caused the pilot to have to do a restart because it interferred with the aircraft's computers. The flight was delayed 55 minutes because it lost its' take-off slot. Also, all electronic equipment built into an aircraft is tested and certified before it is allowed to be used, to avoid any surprises; mobile phones are not and should not be used on aircraft. Personal GPS systems are also not allowed to be turned on for the same reason, financial considerations are not the issue.
