Article filled with fallacies
This looks like a crazy opinion to me.

Firstly, the cell phone and other WiFi equipment could interfere with the aircraft's wireless system. It could be their radios or any other sophisticated device. Who would want to risk it.

Has the author tested multiple wireless devices in close vicinty and checked their robustness and interference patterns? What would happen if all 250 passengers thought like the author and used their n wireless gadgets simultaneously. That could be 250n devices and with the sophistication of such technologies, they could occupy the entire frequency spectrum!!

Maybe a better technology has been invented to avoid such people who use wireless devices at their whims and fancies. Lets just hope so!
