The Real Reason
The real reason phones are banned in hospitals & planes is because they annoy the hell out of other people, whos means of escape are limited. Long may it last. Also It has to be pointed out that while 'instantanious emergency calls' have undoubtedly saved a few lives the overwhelming vasy majority of mobile calls are not in this category. They tend to be more along the lines of the bonehead commuter sitting next to you telling their S.O. that they will be home in 10 minutes.
Very few people NEED mobiles, most people WANT one. you want to burst some bubbles, have a go at that one happy
