Do the math.
Let's see... Instead of hiring 10,000 or 15,000 employess world wide they now plan to hire 18,000. And instead of laying off 3,000 US workers they're only going to lay off 2,000. Now that means... Yep, they're still cutting the US workforce by 2,000. All of those 18,000 will be non-US taxpaying citizens. Good news for IBM, their stockholders and probably India, but not so good for the US economy. Wonder what kind of tax credit the congresscritters will give them for this?
