..."About one-third of new hires this year will be in the United States." Sounds good at first, but you have to remember what this is REALLY about. It's not just moving jobs overseas to increase profits, because there are drawbacks to that such as social and economic backlash, security issues, etc.

What these companies REALLY want is to have their cake and to eat it too. They would GREATLY prefer a US workforce that is used to (or at least accepts) working for a LOT less $$ than we currently are paid. Send the jobs that are currently costing big bucks for labor here overseas, and then 're-ttrain' those workers for different (read: Lower-paying) jobs within the company. The comapny retains the employee and their skill set and experience at a lower cost.
Can YOU afford to turn down such an offer from your present employer if your job ships overseas?
I would bet that not many of us can.

It's all aprt of the 'Walmart-ization' of the world. Get ready for Part-time, Minimum wage and no benefits on an increasing scale. They are getting our kids used to it. It's not coming, it is here and growing like a mushroom in the dark.

Say hello to the Bad Old days again, folks. If Unions weren't so damn crooked, I'd almost suggest forming new ones.

Just one guy's opinion.
