The question is more who is NOT supporting Blu-Ray
Look at the list of founding members of the BluRay group and it appears that HD-DVD may be dead on arrival.

The only names I did not see are IBM and eMachine\Gateway. I do not see a format war like VHs|Beta. There were similar issues when the DVD format was decided eight or nine years ago. There were two proposed formats for DVD and they were not compatible. One group got forced out. I think that will happen here. BluRay is a good three or four years out before the AVERAGE consumer considers it, unless the units come in at a very good price.
