RE: HP develops new type of memory circuit
When I read this I thought this is significant but could not put my finger on it. The whilst reading the replies it the answer came to the forefront of my mind.
I remember reading somewhere that humans learn motor skills as infants by trial and error with neuron paths either enhanced or degraded depending on the results achieved. This methodology was being used in self learning robots.
So this may be the first step in producing a more efficient/ capable self learning AI.
