With cocaine-abusing, Nat Guard-deserting Bush, you don't want to go there

Okay, let's have that debate.

You can attack the service that John Kerry provided in Viet Nam
and I'll attack the fact that George W. Bush used his father's
influence to get himself a cushy, guaranteed state-side berth in
the Texas Air National Guard, jumping over the queue of people
who were ahead of him for the particular training that he
recieved.

Then, when his drug use (cocaine) was about to be revealed as a
result of a required physical exam, he didn't take the exam and
thereby lost flight status.

Then he got a transfer to Alabama to allow him to work on a
Republican political campaign, but he didn't bother to show up
for the Alabama Air National Guard. Instead, he went AWOL for a
long enough time that he could have been charged with
*DESERTION*. Oh, sorry, he's a Bush and his daddy was a big
man in Republican circles so instead of a penalty (like prison!),
we'll just wink and lose his service records.

So yeah, let's debate whether Bush or Kerry was more faithful in
rendering service to this country during the Viet Nam war.
