Personally I think the console market is doomed
Too much crap coming out for too high a price. The game companies are rushing to cash in on a movie titles like Spiderman and Lord of the Rings and put out games that just suck but sell due to the movie. People are begining to wake up to this tactic. Why blow a bunch of money on a new console to play crapyy games that cost on average about 5 times as much as DVD.

Also I've seen some life beginning to return to the PC game market. In the end I think Nintendo will be the only one standing with thier market of 3-9 year olds.
