Buying A Video Card
Other posters have pointed out the problem with video card pricing and its probable effect on sales. The other issue is the complexity of buying a card. An average user who does know enough to be able to swap out cards still might not want to because the bewildering array of models and levels of each model makes them doubt whether or not they're getting a decent bang for their buck. Which card, which card? What did they do to cripple that "Special Edition" of that card? Will it do what I want? What's the real minimum for me to run Far Cry or Doom 3? Make those things easier for the buyer to determine and you'll see a boost in sales.
