i've LONG ago given up on ever owning the "latest and greatest" graphics card. and for the past 5 years the latest and greatest has been 400-500 bucks. plus been having to wait even longer to get the 3rd or 4th step down from the latest greatest.

used to be an nvidia man, now i'm just "the one better than mine that's within my price range"
