No cause for fear
My fear with MS is that they will use their current power, program lockins, and disinformation campaigns to ruin Linux before it can take hold as Intel did Cyrix.

I wouldn't worry. Linux is alive and well, and is indeed making it onto the desktop. Mine, for instance, and the desktops of many associates of mine. They tend to go with Mandrake or Red Hat. As a masochist, I prefer Debian. But the creep of Linux onto the desktop is happening, and is quite healthy. There are those who will claim that it is not happening, but these people perform the basic miscarriage of logic of assuming that because they don't see it, it must not be happening.
