While in theory I don't disagree with SOME of
your points..still using terms like MicroSucks and InHell take away from much of your post.

Also please realize that it is just buisness. When my company had a major upheavel in it's stock price (because of a failure in one of those vaunted managerial positions) The employee's paid a terrible price in terms of layoffs becaue revenue was down and the stock was down. Many a laid off employee had put 30 years or close to it in this company and were counting on retiring if a few short years with dignity. Instead they were shown there door. Sigh...that is buisiness today, and you know it probably always has been. On the ironic side the manager(s) who cause the problem in the first place were allowed to resign...OUCH!

Still in all it is only buisness..This is how we teach those who graduate from Harvard Buiness and other college's. It is not evil it is good to protect the companies bottom line, and protect you stock options in the process.

Now the question is this.."IS buisness" as it is run today an evil thing? Might be...I don't know. Can it be done better..more humanly? Probably. But the problem is not soley laide at the door steps of Intell and Microsoft. We as a nation have to change our priorities..The first step would be for those who have power to start respecting the PEOPLE they effect with their decisions, and for taking responsibility when their decision lead to a collapse of the companies bottom line. After all if they are rewarded when the stock goes up..then they should be penalized when the stock goes down, and the punishment should equal the reward in severity to gain ratio.

As soon as everyone starts respecting their fellow man/woman from the top of the social ladder to the bottom rung then a difference will be seen. Until then well this will just be buisness as usual.
