That is exactly what they are doing. I do agree that DRM is irrelavent though, as the parent stated. The only reason I say this is that pirates steal/infringe and when has a lock stopped a competent theif/infringer. The keys will leak,, like everything else,, and it will continue to be a cat and mouse game at the consumers expense. All the entertainment moguls will cry about their profits and the government will make licenses for copying equipment mandatory,, circa USSR 1980's. Then innovation will stop and we'll go full circle again. Or consumers will not by crippled equipment, but i dont have faith in peoples ability to see past the shiney box.
