SO, I can now do what I've done with VCR tapes.
So I can send a digital stream of a show from the tivo box, to another tivo box. As supposed to taking a VCR tape over may friends house.

There has to be some sort of difference between past forms recording and new, that the companies are soooo worried about it. I can only see dollars as a motive.

Then there is the whole "government-approved copy protection" idea. What kind of police state tactic is that.

Does that mean I can't walk over with a digital tape to my friends house and watch a show?
I'm against priracy, but, guess what, none of this will even slow them down; and it will inconvience everyone else
