Agree... but suspect analogy on your part: Contrasting market share vs quality indicators is an interesting "reach" on your part, I must say. You must be in marketing !

Never the less I agree going from 'nothing' to 3.5% is significant! In fact mathematically, it much greater than triple - more like infinity. Again... law of small numbers factor in here.
