It is not a misconception, it is true. Almost all come with Windows only.
True, if you look hard you can find one, but probably not the brand and features you want. So, you end up paying the Microsoft tax and then installing Linux. For the common user that wants the OS pre-installed and supported, Linux is not an option yet.

So, Microsoft hates this kind of news, this is the start of the end. There will be more choices with Linux pre-installed in the future.

And, this has nothing to do with the antitrust in Europe. One computer maker offering a computer with Linux does not get MS off the hook. And, even if Linux does gain enough market share in Europe so that Microsoft is no longer a "legal" monopoly, that does not forgive them for past crimes.
