- Mike knows best...
- ...and no fur coat for 64-bit Linux. We had lunch the other day, and as Mike's rep, I affirmed his decision to stay with 32 bit CPUs on his servers. Clearly, the fact that Server 2003 is not available on any of the 64-bit CPU lines is an indication that the excess memory is not needed. If it were, M$ would have been the first on the train. Those other companies are just engaged in one-upmanship, and an astute CIO like Mike sees right through that. I help Mike spend his IT dollars more judiciously, where value is provided to his customers, through the efforts of thoroughly well-trained MSCEs, to provide unparalleled bliss in office history.
