Question and observation
Once those prisoners are fully released from the system, will the tags be removed? If not, then will they be tracked for the rest of their lives? I understand that there *might* be a reason to keep up with some of the real baddies, but would you really have a need to track some poor slob who did time for a bad check?

Did you notice they ended the article with a blurb that RFID tags are most often used for luggage, children, dogs and supermarkets-in that order? Somehow, I can't see feeling all warm and fuzzy about a tracking method that equates human beings with luggage, dogs and canned goods.
