I've got both
I use 2 Dell desktops and a PowerBook. From a stability point of
view the powerBook is far ahead of my Dell. I use VPC (XP) on
the PB and that is actually more stable than XP on the Dell - go
figure.

In terms of support Dell used to be great, but then moved their
support for people like me to India. The change resulted in a
loss of support staff who worked for Dell and wanted to take
care of customers to a staff that work for another company and
want to get you off the phone as fast as possible. After 2 calls I
can confirm that Dell is no longer equal to Apple in this area.

In terms of enjoyment the PB leads by a mile. So much so that
the Dell at home is going to be replaced as soon as the G5 iMac
becomes available.

As for the upcoming iMac - it'll be a G5 and probably present a
lot of new ideas in computer design that other companies will be
looking at as soon as they can get their hands on one.
