Yet Another Clueless Conservative!
You need to do a little homework. Intel has treated its employees poorly for years (see: http://www.faceintel.com/), and this practice has come home to roost (i.e., no self-respecting, talented engineer will work for this company anymore).

One may be in charge of taking care of oneself, but I think that lot of the talented engineers and computer scientists have had enough of being treated like cattle. Life is too short to be treated like **** by one's employer. There are many ways to support oneself that do not involve working in a sweatshop. Losing the hi-tech industry would be a good lesson for corporate America. A hi-tech company is only as good as its intellectual capital.
